She is on heart-lung. Old heart out (looked very small and thick), and new heart is sitting in her chest. The surgeon will sew it in and let the blood flow to check for leaks. When the plumbing looks good, it will get started using electrical current. When she comes back to her ICU room, I will get kicked out for an hour while they get her situated.

Wow! It all happens so fast! Thank you for keeping us updated. We’ve been thinking of you for months now. Praying for a speedy recovery. When I lived in Maine I worked in our hospitals equivalent to the unit she will go to. PICU. One of my favorite jobs. Those heart kids will always hold a very special place in my heart. It always amazed me how quickly they bounce back. Lots of love from us all.
